Ambassador Caroline Kennedy invited Funai Electric to Red Sox World Championship Party.

Funai Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, 'Funai’) hereby is pleased to announce that Funai was proudly invited and attended the Red Sox World Championship Party which was sponsored Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and held at the ambassador's residence in the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo on last January 21st.

Funai and Red Sox have a cooperative relationship through U.S./Japan Youth Baseball Exchange from 2008, which led to this Party and we were proudly invited and two of us, Yoshikazu Uemura (President and CEO) and Tomonori Hayashi (Vice Chairman).
It is a great honor for Funai with courtesy to the Red Sox Nation and U.S. Embassy.

During the Party, Ambassador Caroline Kennedy welcomed Red Sox fans to celebrate the 2013 World Series Championship.
The World Series trophy was carried to Japan on last January 20th with the Red Sox team mascot "Wally the Green Monster".

It is the 3rd time that this Trophy came to Japan.

In addition to pitcher Koji Uehara and pitcher Junichi Tazawa who greatly contributed to the Championship for the Red Sox and others; Mr. Hideki Matsui a former major league star player for the NY Yankees and 2009 World Series MVP, Mr. So Taguchi of the former Cardinals and Maestro Mr. Seiji Ozawa a member of the Red Sox Nation, who knows Ambassador Caroline Kennedy, were also invited to this Party.
