Disclosure Policy

(1) Disclosure Criteria

In addition to disclosing to shareholders and investors all information required under the Securities Trading Laws and other relevant regulations as well as the regulations on timely disclosure stipulated by the securities exchanges. FUNAI ELECTRIC CO., LTD. (hereinafter, the "Company") is committed to the timely publication of any information it judges to be valuable in furthering understanding of the Company and its Operations.

(2) Methods of Disclosure

The Company discloses promptly and fully all information required under the Securities Trading Laws and other relevant regulations as well as the regulations on timely disclosure stipulated by securities exchanges using TDnet, the timely disclosure system provided by the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The information disclosed using these timely disclosure systems is posted on the Company's Website as soon as it is published on these systems. The Company also provides full and accurate disclosure of a wide range of information not required by the timely disclosure regulations.

In some cases, the Company may be unable to disclose information or respond to questions regarding specific matters, due to secrecy agreements with business partners or the like.

(3) Periods of Silence

To ensure the fairness of Financial statements by preventing their early disclosure, in principle the Company enforces a one-month "period of silence" while the Financial statements are being prepared, this is between the date of Settlement of Accounts (including quarter term and interim accounts) and the day after their date of publication. During this period the Company does not respond to comments or questions regarding the Settlement of Accounts. An exception is made for Forecasts of business results, which the Company discloses in a prompt and timely manner.

Disclosed information that is not based on past results contains Forward-Looking Statements regarding business performance representing the expectations and judgments of the management, based on information available to the Company at the time this report was prepared. Actual future business performance and forecasts may differ materially from those contained in the Company's materials.
